Matt McKinney

Matt McKinney has been actively engaged in land work since 2017; he joined Bright Star’s parent company, Galvanic Energy, in 2021. Having worked on major plays in Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas, Matt brings vast experience in surface and subsurface petroleum land work to his roles in helping create world-class lithium brine plays and project management. 

Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in energy management and a master’s in oil, gas and energy law from the University of Oklahoma. He is an active member of the Oklahoma City Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) and the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), where he maintains Certified Professional Landman certification.
